1. This Promotional Competition (the “Competition”) is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited and/or their designated agencies (the “Promoter”).

2. The Competition is open to participants who are permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 (eighteen) years, in possession of a valid South African Identity Document. Any person who is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years (“a minor”) must obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, in order to enter and qualify as a participant for the Competition (together referred to as “Participants/Entrants”).

3. Any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Participants”).

4. By entering the Competition, all Participants and winners, including a parent or legal guardian of a minor participant, agree to be bound by these rules as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right at any time without notice to amend, modify, or change these rules, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.

5. The Competition commences on 13 November 2017 and ends on 31 January 2018, both days inclusive (“the Duration”).

6. Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) of 67 (sixty seven) weekly prizes (“Weekly Themed Prizes”).

6.1 Weekly Themed prizes will be handed out per theme. The themes and prizes are made up as follows:

7. To stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Weekly Themed Prize, Participants must comment/post on the Appletiser Facebook page relating to that week’s theme (“Entry”).

8. The Promoter will conduct a random draw from all the Entries received to determine the winners in the following manner:

8.1 A weekly draw every Monday, from the 20 November 2017 until the 31 January 2018, in order to determine the “Weekly Prize Winners” (“Weekly Draws”);

9. In order for a particular Entry to be confirmed as valid, the Promoter will contact the potential winner via Facebook Direct Message to ensure that the qualifying criteria set out in paragraphs 2, 3, and 7 above are met (“the verification process”).

10. The Promoter’s’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. Participants may not enter this Competition or qualify to be a winner if they have previously won a Weekly Themed Prize, or if they have won a competition promoted by the Promoters within the past 6 (six) months.

12. Entries which are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism, or contain errors, or are unclear or illegible, or are received from Disqualified Participants will be declared invalid.

13. Participants whose Entries have been drawn and have been confirmed by the Promoter as valid after the verification process, will be notified via Facebook Direct Message.

14. In the event that a winning entry for any of the prizes to this Competition belongs to a minor, their parent or legal guardian must accept and/or be present in order to claim their prize.

15. If the Promoter is unable to reach a Weekly Prize Winner after 24 hours (twenty four) from the date of being selected as a potential winner, or if a Weekly Prize Winner is a minor who did not obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, or if a Weekly Prize Winner fails the verification process after drawing his/her Entry for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement Entry and winner will take place.

16. Weekly Prize winners will have their prizes delivered to them via Courier to a delivery address specifically provided by the winner to the Promoter.

17. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

18. No liability shall attach to the Promoter in relation to any claims, losses or liabilities for any loss of profit or any other direct and/or indirect, special or consequential loss arising out of any of the prizes.  The Promoter is not liable for any defects in the Prizes. Ownership of and risk in, and benefit attaching to, the prizes will pass to you immediately.

19. Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of the Competition rules, the Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

20. All Participants and winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, it’s advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoter and/or use of the Prizes).

21. The Promoter may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these Rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert back to the Promoter.

22. The Promoter may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their prizes or after having received their prizes. The Promoter may also use the uploaded images in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoter’s marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition.

23. By entering the Competition, the Participants agree that The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Promoter, agencies, subsidiaries, Bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities, provided that the Participants are given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving marketing communication at any time via the appropriate opt-out mechanisms provided by the Promoter for such purpose.

24. As this Competition requires Participants to comment/post anything in relation to the Weekly Themes on the Appletiser Facebook page, Participants’ comments/posts must be original and written by them.  For the purposes of these Rules, “comment/post” includes but is not limited to, any written material or visual or audio material such as an image, a photograph, a sound or visual clip. Participants may not use someone else’s post or work as their post. Participants may not comment/post material that is derogatory or harmful to the Promoter, the site, the Appletiser page or any other person.

25. Participants may not misuse the site, the Appletiser page or Competition in any way. This includes posting content for commercial purposes or distributing spam or malicious code or using the site to collect the personal data or content of other users or direct visitors to other sites or pages.

26. Posts must not contain any content that is normally prohibited on the site such as explicit or offensive content.

27. The Promoter has the absolute discretion to decide if Participants actions constitute any of the actions prohibited above and to end their participation in the competition immediately and take appropriate legal action. The Promoter may also immediately remove any posts that they reasonably believe constitute any prohibited content without notice to the Participant.   

28. Participants must comply with the terms & conditions and privacy policies of the site.

29. The Promoter is not responsible for the sites. The Promoter cannot control how they operate, when or if they are available, or what content they carry. Even though the Promoter runs the Competition on the site, the Promoter does not endorse the third party, its site, its products, or services or any content on the site. Participants use the site at their own risk. Participants must take all necessary measures to protect themselves and any minors, from risks, such as viruses and other destructive code.  

30. Participants must obtain at their own expense all equipment and services that are necessary to gain access to the site to take part in this Competition.

31. The Promoter can put in place such technical or other remedies it considers appropriate to prevent abuse, or to protect any sites or our systems or other users

32. If any Participant does not comply with these Rules,their posts can be deleted and they will not be allowed to access the site or take part in the Competition.

34. By posting any content, experiences, images on any social media platform, in relation to this Competition and its associated promotional activities, Participants consent and give the Promotor a world-wide, royalty free and non-exclusive license, to reproduce, modify, adapt and publish any content posted and/or submitted by a Participant on a social media site, for the purposes of promoting the products and services of the Promotor.

35. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administrated by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, or any other social media platform. Participants provide their information to the Promoters and not to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, or any other social media platform.

36. All queries relating to the Competition can be directed to the Coca-Cola Customer Care Line on 0860 112 526 (Monday – Fridays from 8h00 to 17h00). A copy of the Competition rules are available at no cost to the participants and can be downloaded in printable form at www.coca-cola.co.za.

1. This Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited, and its agencies (the “Promoter”).

2. The Competition is open to participants who are permanent residents and citizens of South Africa, over the age of 18 (eighteen) years, in possession of a valid South African Identity Document. Any person who is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years (a “Minor”) must obtain their parent or legal guardian’s express consent, in order to enter and qualify as a participant for the Competition (together referred to as “Participants/Entrants”).

3. Any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or any person, directly or indirectly, who controls or is controlled by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person, indirectly or directly, in control or controlled by the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Participants”).

4.  Participants who are Minors, must have obtained the prior express consent of their parent and/or legal guardian, and the parent and/or legal guardian must have read and accepted these Rules, prior to the Minor participating in the Competition. Should a Minor Participant be declared a Winner of the Trip Prize, the parent or legal guardian must comply with the Competition Rules, as if they were the winner.

5. Minor will be required to be accompanied on the Trip Prize by their legal guardian or parent. In order to redeem the Trip Prize, the parent or legal guardian will be required to familiarize themselves and comply with the Immigration Regulations of 2014 (the “Regulations”). In terms of the Regulations, a parent or legal guardian travelling outside the borders of South Africa with a Minor, must meet certain requirements in order to travel internationally. It is the responsibility of the parent and/or legal guardian to view and thereby acknowledge and understand the requirements set in the Regulations. 6. The Competition is only valid within South Africa.  Participants must be within South Africa at the time of entering the Competition, for the verification process and at the time of the prizes being awarded should they be declared a winner, failing which such person will be disqualified and the draw of a replacement entry shall take place under the same terms and conditions as the first draw. 

7. By entering the Competition, all Participants and Winners, including a parent or legal guardian of a Minor Participant, agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence shall be entered into regarding the decision.  The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.

8. The Competition commences on 1 November 2017 and ends on 31 January 2018, both days inclusive (the “Duration”). 

9. Participants stand a chance of winning the following prizes (“Prizes”):

9.1  R5 (five rand) airtime vouchers (“Airtime Voucher Prize”), for pre-paid cellular account holders only. The total value of the R5 airtime vouchers on offer is R5, 500 000 (five million five hundred thousand rand); and

9.2 1 (one) trip to any 1 (one) of the destinations shown on any Participating Product and included in Appendix A attached (“Trip Prize”), for you and 3 (three) travel partners (“Travel Partners”).

10. The Trip Prize Winner and their Travel Partners must be available to travel together to their winning destination of choice between 1 February 2018 and 31 July 2018 (“Travel Dates”). Should the Winner be unavailable to take up the Trip Prize on the Travel Dates, provided and determined by Promoters, the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited the Trip Prize.  In such event the Trip Prize will revert back to the Promoter.

11. Should the Winner of a Trip Prize wish to make any changes in any way whatsoever, to the Trip Prize, other than what will be arranged by the Promoter, including Travel Dates and the number of Travel Partners, such costs, charges, expenses or any such adaptations or variations to the Trip Prize, will be on the Winner’s own account

12. To stand a chance of winning  a R5 (five rand) Airtime Vouchers and/or 1 (one) Trip Prize, Participants must purchase any Coke Original Taste, Coke Light, Coke Life, Coke Zero Sugar, Fanta, Sprite, Stoney, in pack sizes  2L; 1.5L, 500ml; 440ml, 330ml and 300ml PET, or 440 ml, 330ml, and 200ml cans, (“Participating Product”).

12.1. Participants must look under the cap liner or on the can tab for their 13 (thirteen) digit unique code (“Code”);

12.2  Dial *120*2653# from a registered cellphone number at a cost of 20c (twenty cents) per 20 (twenty) seconds. For clarity, a registered cellphone number is one that has been RICA’d and registered in the name of a Participant or a Minor Participant’s parent or legal guardian; and

12.3  Follow the text prompts to complete their entry.

(hereinafter referred to as an “Entry”).

13. Due to network restrictions, USSD sessions time-out after 120 (one hundred and twenty) seconds (“USSD time-out”). If a Participant successfully enters their Code before the USSD time- out, their Entry will be considered valid.

14. All Winners will be determined by random selection. 

15. All Participants who send their Code in terms of Rule 12 above, irrespective of whether they have won an Airtime Voucher Prize, are eligible to stand a chance to win the Trip Prize.

16. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish over the Duration, provided they purchase a Participating Product for each Entry in terms of Rule 12 above and  complete all the Entry steps set out in Rule 12.1 to 12.3 above.

17. Airtime Voucher Prizes Rules

17.1 Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Airtime Voucher Prize per Entry, across all Mobile Networks.

17.2 Where an Entry is randomly drawn as a Winner of 1 (one) Airtime Voucher Prize, the cellphone number used to enter the Competition, will be automatically loaded with the Airtime Voucher Prize.

17.3 Due to the random nature of the draw, of the Airtime Voucher Prize distribution and the USSD time-out, it is possible that not all Airtime Voucher Prizes will be awarded.

18.  Trip Prize Rules

18.1 Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Trip Prize, for the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners, to any 1 (one) of the destinations shown on the purchased Participating Product.  A list of the destinations is set out in Appendix A. A Participant can only win 1 (one) Trip Prize and only one Trip Prize per household is allowed.

18.2 The Promoter will conduct a random, audited, weekly draw, from all the Entries received for the Duration. The Promoter will call the possible Winners and conduct a Competition verification process (“Verification Process”).

18.3 The Verification Process will consist of the following:

18.3.1 contacting the possible Winner and confirming the Winner, or in the case of a minor, parent or legal guardian, holds a valid South African Identity documents; and

18.3.2  the Winner will be required to fill in a Winner form and indemnity, which needs to be returned to the Promoter within 24 (twenty four) hours;

18.4   Travelling abroad:

18.4.1   Possible Winners and their Travel Partners stand a chance of spending up to 7 (seven) nights at their chosen destination.

18.4.2   In order to travel abroad, possible Winners may be required to submit copies of their and their Travel Partners valid passports (collectively “the Travelers”), after being declared a winner and after successfully completing the Verification Process in terms of Rule 18.3 above. Should any Traveler not be in possession of a valid passport, possible Winner and their Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited their chosen Trip Prize and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1. 

18.4.3   Where applicable, the possible Winner and their Travel Partners’ passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the stipulated date of return from the Trip Prize destination, and must have 2 (two) blank/unstamped pages in the passport.

18.4.4   Where the destination country requires that a visitors to be in possession of a valid visa, the Travelers must be eligible for a visa to that destination country of choice and are required to disclose upfront any possible reason for Embassy rejection.  For the avoidance of doubt, should a possible Winner and/or any of their Travel Partners be refused a visa to travel to their destination of choice, such possible Winner and their Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited that chosen Trip Prize, and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1. 

18.4.4   Clear passport copies must be emailed to the Promoter, to an e-mail address only provided by the Promoter, reflecting the photograph, name, passport number, date of issue and expiry date of the travelers. Blurred or obscured copies will result in disqualification, and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1. 

18.4.6   Travelers must also comply with any other travel requirements for entry into a destination country, including any inoculations at the Promoter’s expense, failing which the possible Winner and/or Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited their chosen Trip Prize and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1

18.5   Travelling within South Africa

18.5.1   Possible Winners and their Travel Partners stand a chance of spending 5 (five) nights at the chosen South African destinations.

18.5.2   Where the Trip Prize winning destination is within the borders of South Africa, the possible winner may be required to submit copies of their and their Travel Partners identification documents (collectively “the Travelers”), after being declared a winner and after successfully completing the Verification Process in terms of Rule 18.3 above.

18.6  The Trip Prize is for the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners only.  As noted above, should a Minor be declared a Winner, the Minor will be required to be accompanied on the Trip Prize by their parent or legal guardian, and 2 other Travel Partners.

18.7  Participants, whose Entries have been drawn and have been confirmed as valid after the Verification Process, will be notified telephonically within 24 (twenty four) hours from receipt of valid documentation set out in Rules 18.4.2 and 18.5.2 above and after being declared a Winner. The validity of such documentation is at the Promoter’s discretion.

18.8  The Winner, or in the case of a minor, their parent or legal guardian, and their Travel Partners will be required to sign the Promoter’s indemnity forms.  Should the Winner and/or Travel Partners refuse or fail to do so for any reason whatsoever, the Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Trip Prize. In such event the Trip Prize will revert back to the Promoter.

18.9  Travel, hotel reservations and events/excursions are subject to availability and may not be available on certain dates. Travel Dates may be varied and any or all amendments to Travel Dates will be at the Promoter’s discretion.

18.10  The Trip Prize includes travel costs to and from the chosen destination, including flight costs where applicable, hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation, hotel or bed and breakfast meals offered, and selected excursions, as determined by the Promoter.

18.11  No correspondence will be entered into as to the Promoter’s choice of airline, ticket class, hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation, all of which, including the length of stay, is at the Promoter’s discretion

18.12  The Promoter will not be responsible for any other expenses, which the Winner and their Travel Partners may incur as a result of their acceptance and/or use of the Trip Prize whether foreseen or not. 

18.13  Ancillary costs, including but not limited to, additional transport, additional meals outside of those paid by the Promoter, personal and incidental expenses, government taxes, management fees or other fees applicable are not the responsibility of the Promoter. 

18.14  The Promoter will cover the Winner and Travel Partners’ basic travel insurance, the level of cover will be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion.  In the event that the Winner and/or Travel Partners wish to increase the level of insurance cover, this increase in cover will be at the Winner and/or Travel Partners’ sole cost and expense.

18.15  The Promoter shall not be responsible for any changes, substitution, withdrawal, cancellation or postponement of any part of the itinerary beyond its reasonable control.  The Promoter is not obliged to award any other prizes in lieu if any such event or aspect of the trip is cancelled, postponed, substituted, withdrawn, changed or unavailable.

18.16  All Prize Winners and their Travel Partners are obliged to behave responsibly at all times and comply with the Competition rules and all reasonable requests of the Promoter and its agents.  In the event that the prize Winner and/or Travel Partners acts in any manner that brings The Coca-Cola Company, the Promoter, its affiliates and/or associated companies’ name into disrepute at any time (including but not limited to display or publicize any political slogans, child pornography, or use homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to be ambush marketing, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others’ rights), the Promoter or its agent shall, at its sole discretion and without any form of compensation to the Winner and their Travel Partners, and without limitation to any other claim the Promoter may have under law;  arrange for the Winner and their Travel Partners return to the Provinces of Residence in South Africa.

18.17  If the Promoter is unable to reach any Trip Prize Winner after 3 (three) day from the date of being declared a Winner, or if a Trip Winner is a Minor who did not obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, or if a Trip Prize Winner fails the verification process after their Entry is drawn for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement Entry and Winner will take place.

19. All the Competition Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoter is not liable for any defect in the Prizes.  The Promoter reserve the right to substitute Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

20. In addition to any other the verification requirements set out in these Rules, the Promoter may require the Trip Prize Winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as supply a copy of their valid Identity Document within 24 hours of being confirmed a Winner, to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any Winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such Winner will be deemed to have rejected the Trip Prizes and it shall revert back to the Promoter.

21. The Promoter may require the Trip Prize Winners and/or their Travel Partners to be identified and photographed and the photographs published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Trip Prize and/or after having received their Trip Prize.  The Winners and/or their Travel Partners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters’ marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition.

22. Prize images on the Point of Sale promotional material are used to represent the prizes for illustration purposes only, and might differ from the actual prizes awarded.

23. Competition entries are subject to the following conditions:

  • All Entries from Disqualified Participants’ cell phone numbers will be rejected;
  • All Entries from Minor Participants who have not obtained the express consent from their parent or legal guardian, will be rejected;
  • No computer based entries will be accepted; and
  • Any cell phone number that enters an incorrect Code 5 (five) times in succession will be locked out of the competition for the entire Duration of the Competition (“Blocked Participants”). Blocked Participants have an opportunity to call the COLONYHQ Call Centre on 087 231 0128 between 09h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday should there be a valid reason, which is acceptable by Promoter, for the Blocked Participants entering an incorrect Code five (5) times in succession.

24. Entries that are unclear, illegible, are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism or contain errors or from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid.

27. 1. This Promotional Competition (the “Competition”) is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited and/or their designated agencies (the “Promoter”).

2. The Competition is open to participants who are permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 (eighteen) years, in possession of a valid South African Identity Document. Any person who is under the age of 18 (eighteen) years (“a minor”) must obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, in order to enter and qualify as a participant for the Competition (together referred to as “Participants/Entrants”).

By entering the Competition, all Participants and winners, including a parent or legal guardian of a minor participant, agree to be bound by these rules as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right at any time without notice to amend, modify, or change these rules, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.

5. The Competition commences on 06 November 2017 and ends on 31 January 2018, both days inclusive (“the Duration”).

6. Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) of 1100 (one thousand one hundred) weekly prizes and/or 1 (one) of 6 (six) grand prizes.

6.1  Weekly prizes are made up of:

6.1.1       200 (two hundred) Shower Speakers;

6.1.2       500 (five hundred) Just Juice Tumblers;

6.1.3       200 (two hundred) Instax Cameras;

6.1.4       200 (two hundred) Breakfast Boxes consisting of 1 (one) Just Juice, 1 (one) Just Juice tumbler as well as some delicious breakfast treats.

6.2  The 6 (six) grand prizes are made up of 1 (one) Breakfast experience away, accompanied by 3 (three) travel experience partners (“travel partner/s”), to the value of R50 000 (fifty thousand rand) each (hereinafter referred to as “Grand Prize/s”). The Grand Prizes will take the winners away to a one of a kind breakfast experience, to mystery destinations in South Africa. Travel expenses to and from to each mystery destination will be paid by the Promotor. Each winner of a Grand Prize, and their travel partners, will be informed of their travel arrangements and when they must take up their prize by the Promotor, and will be required to sign a prize and travel indemnity.

7. To stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Weekly Prize or 1 (one) Grand Prize, prizes, Participants must purchase any 250ml, 330ml & 1L Just Juice (“Participating Products”) from any participating store. Participants must retain their till slip and SMS their till slip number to 40508 (“Entry”). 

SMS’s cost R1.00 per SMS. Free SMS’s do not apply.

8. Participants must retain their till slip for the Duration of the Competition, as evidence of their Entry. Participants are not limited to the number of Participating Products they can purchase, in order to enter the Competition. 1 (one) SMS’d till Slip is equivalent to 1 (one) Entry for the duration of the Competition.

9. A Participant may:

9.1   SMS each of his/her Entries;

9.2   An unlimited number of times for the Duration of the Competition;

provided that they purchase the Participating Products and follow the entry mechanics set out in paragraph 7 above each time. However, Participants are only eligible for 1 (one) Weekly Prize per week and 1 (one) Grand Prize under this Competition. Only 1 (one) Grand Prize winner per household is permitted.

10. The Promoter will conduct a random draw from all the Entries received to determine the winners in the following manner:

10.1      A weekly draw will take place during the promotional period in order to determine the “Weekly Prize Winners” (“Weekly Draws”);

10.2         6 (six) grand prize draws will take place during the Duration of the Competition, in order to determine the 6 (six) Grand Prize Winners (“Grand Prizes Draw). Grand Prize draws take place in the following manner:

10.2.1       2 (two) draws in the month of November 2017;

10.2.2       2 (two) draws in the month of December 2017; and

10.2.3       2 (two) draws in the month of January 2018.

11. In order for a particular Entry to be confirmed as valid, the Promoter will call the possible winners and ensure that the qualifying criteria set out in paragraphs 2, 3, 7 and 8 above are met (“the verification process”).

12. The Promoter’s’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. Participants may not enter this Competition or qualify to be a winner if they have won a competition promoted by the Promoters within the past 6 (six) months.

14. Entries which are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism, or contain errors, or are unclear or illegible, or are received from Disqualified Participants will be declared invalid.

15. Participants whose Entries have been drawn and have been confirmed by the Promoter as valid after the verification process, will be notified via SMS, with a follow up telephone call to confirm their winning, after each Weekly Draw and after the Grand Prize Draw. Selected Participants will be declared a winner, and will be provided with details of how to claim their prize.

16. In the event that a winning entry for any of the prizes to this Competition belongs to a minor, their parent or legal guardian must accept and/or be present in order to claim their prize.

17. If the Promoter is unable to reach a Grand Prize Winner after 1 (one) week from the date of being declared a winner, or if a Grand Prize Winner is a minor who did not obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, or if a Grand Prize Winner fails the verification process after drawing his/her Entry for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement Entry and winner will take place.

18. Grand Prize winners will have 1 (one) month to redeem/accept their prize, from the date of being declared a winner.

20. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

21. No liability shall attach to the Promoter in relation to any claims, losses or liabilities for any loss of profit or any other direct and/or indirect, special or consequential loss arising out of any of the prizes.  The Promoter is not liable for any defects in the Prizes. Ownership of and risk in, and benefit attaching to, the prizes will pass to you immediately.

22. Grand Prize Winners may be required to sign and agree to the Grand Prize and indemnity provided to them by the Promoter. 4. Participants who are Minors, must have obtained the prior express consent of their parent and/or legal guardian, and the parent and/or legal guardian must have read and accepted these Rules, prior to the Minor participating in the Competition. Should a Minor Participant be declared a Winner of the Trip Prize, the parent or legal guardian must comply with the Competition Rules, as if they were the winner. 

 

5. Minor will be required to be accompanied on the Trip Prize by their legal guardian or parent. In order to redeem the Trip Prize, the parent or legal guardian will be required to familiarize themselves and comply with the Immigration Regulations of 2014 (the “Regulations”). In terms of the Regulations, a parent or legal guardian travelling outside the borders of South Africa with a Minor, must meet certain requirements in order to travel internationally. 9.1 R5 (five rand) airtime vouchers (“Airtime Voucher Prize”), for pre-paid cellular account holders only. The total value of the R5 airtime vouchers on offer is R5, 500 000 (five million five hundred thousand rand); and 

 

9.2 1 (one) trip to any 1 (one) of the destinations shown on any Participating Product and included in Appendix A attached (“Trip Prize”), for you and 3 (three) travel partners (“Travel Partners”). 

 

10. The Trip Prize Winner and their Travel Partners must be available to travel together to their winning destination of choice between 1 February 2018 and 31 July 2018 (“Travel Dates”). Should the Winner be unavailable to take up the Trip Prize on the Travel Dates, provided and determined by Promoters, the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited the Trip Prize.  In such event the Trip Prize will revert back to the Promoter.

 

11. Should the Winner of a Trip Prize wish to make any changes in any way whatsoever, to the Trip Prize, other than what will be arranged by the Promoter, including Travel Dates and the number of Travel Partners, such costs, charges, expenses or any such adaptations or variations to the Trip Prize, will be on the Winner’s own account.  

 

12. To stand a chance of winning  a R5 (five rand) Airtime Vouchers and/or 1 (one) Trip Prize, Participants must purchase any Coke Original Taste, Coke Light, Coke Life, Coke Zero Sugar, Fanta, Sprite, Stoney, in pack sizes  2L; 1.5L, 500ml; 440ml, 330ml and 300ml PET, or 440 ml, 330ml, and 200ml cans, (“Participating Product”). 

 

12.1. Participants must look under the cap liner or on the can tab for their 13 (thirteen) digit unique code (“Code”); 

 

12.2 Dial *120*2653# from a registered cellphone number at a cost of 20c (twenty cents) per 20 (twenty) seconds. For clarity, a registered cellphone number is one that has been RICA’d and registered in the name of a Participant or a Minor Participant’s parent or legal guardian; and

 

12.3 Follow the text prompts to complete their entry.

 

(hereinafter referred to as an “Entry”). 

 

13. Due to network restrictions, USSD sessions time-out after 120 (one hundred and twenty) seconds (“USSD time-out”). If a Participant successfully enters their Code before the USSD time- out, their Entry will be considered valid.

 

14. All Winners will be determined by random selection.  

 

15. All Participants who send their Code in terms of Rule 12 above, irrespective of whether they have won an Airtime Voucher Prize, are eligible to stand a chance to win the Trip Prize. 

 

16. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish over the Duration, provided they purchase a Participating Product for each Entry in terms of Rule 12 above and  complete all the Entry steps set out in Rule 12.1 to 12.3 above. 

 

17. Airtime Voucher Prizes Rules

 

17.1 Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Airtime Voucher Prize per Entry, across all Mobile Networks.

 

17.2 Where an Entry is randomly drawn as a Winner of 1 (one) Airtime Voucher Prize, the cellphone number used to enter the Competition, will be automatically loaded with the Airtime Voucher Prize. 

 

17.3 Due to the random nature of the draw, of the Airtime Voucher Prize distribution and the USSD time-out, it is possible that not all Airtime Voucher Prizes will be awarded.

 

 

18. Trip Prize Rules

 

18.1 Participants stand a chance of winning 1 (one) Trip Prize, for the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners, to any 1 (one) of the destinations shown on the purchased Participating Product.  A list of the destinations is set out in Appendix A. A Participant can only win 1 (one) Trip Prize and only one Trip Prize per household is allowed. 

 

18.2 The Promoter will conduct a random, audited, weekly draw, from all the Entries received for the Duration. The Promoter will call the possible Winners and conduct a Competition verification process (“Verification Process”).

 

18.3 The Verification Process will consist of the following:

 

18.3.1 contacting the possible Winner and confirming the Winner, or in the case of a minor, parent or legal guardian, holds a valid South African Identity documents; and

 

18.3.2 the Winner will be required to fill in a Winner form and indemnity, which needs to be returned to the Promoter within 24 (twenty four) hours;

 

 

18.4 Travelling abroad:

 

18.4.1 Possible Winners and their Travel Partners stand a chance of spending up to 7 (seven) nights at their chosen destination.

 

18.4.2 In order to travel abroad, possible Winners may be required to submit copies of their and their Travel Partners valid passports (collectively “the Travelers”), after being declared a winner and after successfully completing the Verification Process in terms of Rule 18.3 above. Should any Traveler not be in possession of a valid passport, possible Winner and their Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited their chosen Trip Prize and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1.  

 

18.4.3 Where applicable, the possible Winner and their Travel Partners’ passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the stipulated date of return from the Trip Prize destination, and must have 2 (two) blank/unstamped pages in the passport. 

 

18.4.4 Where the destination country requires that a visitors to be in possession of a valid visa, the Travelers must be eligible for a visa to that destination country of choice and are required to disclose upfront any possible reason for Embassy rejection.  For the avoidance of doubt, should a possible Winner and/or any of their Travel Partners be refused a visa to travel to their destination of choice, such possible Winner and their Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited that chosen Trip Prize, and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1.  

 

18.4.4 Clear passport copies must be emailed to the Promoter, to an e-mail address only provided by the Promoter, reflecting the photograph, name, passport number, date of issue and expiry date of the travelers. Blurred or obscured copies will result in disqualification, and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1.  

 

18.4.6 Travelers must also comply with any other travel requirements for entry into a destination country, including any inoculations at the Promoter’s expense, failing which the possible Winner and/or Travel Partners will be deemed to have forfeited their chosen Trip Prize and the possible Winner may choose a Trip Prize to travel within South Africa, to any South African destination in Appendix 1 

 

18.5 Travelling within South Africa

 

18.5.1 Possible Winners and their Travel Partners stand a chance of spending 5 (five) nights at the chosen South African destinations.

 

18.5.2 Where the Trip Prize winning destination is within the borders of South Africa, the possible winner may be required to submit copies of their and their Travel Partners identification documents (collectively “the Travelers”), after being declared a winner and after successfully completing the Verification Process in terms of Rule 18.3 above.

 

18.6 The Trip Prize is for the Winner and their 3 (three) Travel Partners only.  As noted above, should a Minor be declared a Winner, the Minor will be required to be accompanied on the Trip Prize by their parent or legal guardian, and 2 other Travel Partners. 

 

18.7 Participants, whose Entries have been drawn and have been confirmed as valid after the Verification Process, will be notified telephonically within 24 (twenty four) hours from receipt of valid documentation set out in Rules 18.4.2 and 18.5.2 above and after being declared a Winner. The validity of such documentation is at the Promoter’s discretion. 

 

18.8 The Winner, or in the case of a minor, their parent or legal guardian, and their Travel Partners will be required to sign the Promoter’s indemnity forms.  Should the Winner and/or Travel Partners refuse or fail to do so for any reason whatsoever, the Winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Trip Prize. In such event the Trip Prize will revert back to the Promoter.

 

18.9 Travel, hotel reservations and events/excursions are subject to availability and may not be available on certain dates. Travel Dates may be varied and any or all amendments to Travel Dates will be at the Promoter’s discretion.

 

18.10 The Trip Prize includes travel costs to and from the chosen destination, including flight costs where applicable, hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation, hotel or bed and breakfast meals offered, and selected excursions, as determined by the Promoter.

 

18.11 No correspondence will be entered into as to the Promoter’s choice of airline, ticket class, hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation, all of which, including the length of stay, is at the Promoter’s discretion.  

 

18.12 The Promoter will not be responsible for any other expenses, which the Winner and their Travel Partners may incur as a result of their acceptance and/or use of the Trip Prize whether foreseen or not.  

 

18.13 Ancillary costs, including but not limited to, additional transport, additional meals outside of those paid by the Promoter, personal and incidental expenses, government taxes, management fees or other fees applicable are not the responsibility of the Promoter.  

 

18.14 The Promoter will cover the Winner and Travel Partners’ basic travel insurance, the level of cover will be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion.  In the event that the Winner and/or Travel Partners wish to increase the level of insurance cover, this increase in cover will be at the Winner and/or Travel Partners’ sole cost and expense. 

 

18.15 The Promoter shall not be responsible for any changes, substitution, withdrawal, cancellation or postponement of any part of the itinerary beyond its reasonable control.  The Promoter is not obliged to award any other prizes in lieu if any such event or aspect of the trip is cancelled, postponed, substituted, withdrawn, changed or unavailable. 

 

18.16 All Prize Winners and their Travel Partners are obliged to behave responsibly at all times and comply with the Competition rules and all reasonable requests of the Promoter and its agents.  In the event that the prize Winner and/or Travel Partners acts in any manner that brings The Coca-Cola Company, the Promoter, its affiliates and/or associated companies’ name into disrepute at any time (including but not limited to display or publicize any political slogans, child pornography, or use homophobic language, images of a lewd or explicitly sexual nature, images containing logos of competitors and overt brand sponsorship or anything else deemed to be ambush marketing, content which is defamatory, obscene, illegal, vulgar, offensive or otherwise unsuitable or infringes others’ rights), the Promoter or its agent shall, at its sole discretion and without any form of compensation to the Winner and their Travel Partners, and without limitation to any other claim the Promoter may have under law;  arrange for the Winner and their Travel Partners return to the Provinces of Residence in South Africa.

 

18.17 If the Promoter is unable to reach any Trip Prize Winner after 3 (three) day from the date of being declared a Winner, or if a Trip Winner is a Minor who did not obtain their parent or legal guardian’s consent, or if a Trip Prize Winner fails the verification process after their Entry is drawn for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified and a draw for a replacement Entry and Winner will take place.

 

19. All the Competition Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoter is not liable for any defect in the Prizes.  The Promoter reserve the right to substitute Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

 

20. In addition to any other the verification requirements set out in these Rules, the Promoter may require the Trip Prize Winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification, as well as supply a copy of their valid Identity Document within 24 hours of being confirmed a Winner, to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any Winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such Winner will be deemed to have rejected the Trip Prizes and it shall revert back to the Promoter.

 

21. The Promoter may require the Trip Prize Winners and/or their Travel Partners to be identified and photographed and the photographs published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Trip Prize and/or after having received their Trip Prize.  The Winners and/or their Travel Partners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters’ marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition.

 

22. Prize images on the Point of Sale promotional material are used to represent the prizes for illustration purposes only, and might differ from the actual prizes awarded.

 

23. Competition entries are subject to the following conditions: 

 

  • All Entries from Disqualified Participants’ cell phone numbers will be rejected; 
  • All Entries from Minor Participants who have not obtained the express consent from their parent or legal guardian, will be rejected;
  • No computer based entries will be accepted; and
  • Any cell phone number that enters an incorrect Code 5 (five) times in succession will be locked out of the competition for the entire Duration of the Competition (“Blocked Participants”). Blocked Participants have an opportunity to call the COLONYHQ Call Centre on 087 231 0128 between 09h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday should there be a valid reason, which is acceptable by Promoter, for the Blocked Participants entering an incorrect Code five (5) times in succession. 

 

24. Entries that are unclear, illegible, are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism or contain errors or from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid.

 

25. All Participants and the Winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this competition including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters and/or use of the Prizes.

 

26. By entering the Competition, the Participant agrees that The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Promoter, subsidiaries, bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the Participant via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities.  The Promoter may also use the personal data collected from the Participant as described in the Privacy Policy accessible at www.coca-cola.co.za and that such use may include transfers to the Promoter’s affiliates and third party service providers in any country.

 

27. By entering the Competition, the Participants agree that The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Promoter, agencies, subsidiaries, Bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the Participants via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities, provided that the Participants are given the opportunity to opt-out of receiving marketing communication at any time via the appropriate opt-out mechanisms provided by the Promoter for such purpose. 

 

28. Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of the Competition rules, the Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

Competition Rules

1. This Competition (“Competition”) is organized by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited, and Caltex South Africa (Pty) Ltd and/or their designated agencies (collectively ‘’Promoters’’).

2. The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 18 years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document (“Participant”), except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Persons”).

3. In the event that a person under the age of 18 years (“a minor”) enters the competition, he/she is required to obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter and qualify as a Participant of the Competition.

4. By entering the Competition, all Participants and winners agree to be bound by the rules that will be interpreted by the Promoters, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary.

5. The Competition commences on 1 November 2017 and ends 31 December 2017 both days inclusive.

6. The Participant stands a chance of winning daily a share of R250 000 (two hundred and fifty thousand Rand) wherein the winner can receive one of 50 (fifty) cash vouchers valued at R5 000 (five thousand Rand).

7. To stand a chance of winning, Participants are required to:

7.1. purchase any 2 (two) SSD 440ml, PADE 500ml or BAP 750ml Coca-Cola products, namely, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Light, Coca-Cola Life, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Fanta, Stoney, BonaquaPump, Powerade, and Fuze Tea (“Participating Products”), from any participating FreshStop at Caltex stores during the Competition period; and

8. Upon completing the entry process, the Participant will receive a SMS confirming entry into the draw. Each SMS sent by the Participant costs R1. Free SMSs and SMS bundles do not apply.

9. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish provided they purchase the Participating Products and follow the entry mechanics for every entry. However, in the event that the Participant returns the Participating Products purchased, the relevant entry will be deemed as invalid.

10. Entries that are unclear, illegible, submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism, contain errors or are from Disqualified Persons, will be declared invalid.

11. The Promoters will conduct a random draw daily from all the entries received and draw only 1 (one) winner daily.

12. Cash prizes will be awarded based on a daily winner draw which pulls randomly as follows:

12.1. The Participant with a winning unique code will, on the first working day after entry,

receive a telephone call on the cell number they provided when entering the

competition.

12.2. If the Participant cannot, for any reason, be telephonically reached after 3 attempts

within a period of 3 business days, the cash prize will be forfeited and another Participant will be selected in his/her place.

12.3. Thereafter, an SMS will be sent to the Winner wherein the Winner will be requested to

send the tillslip as proof of purchase of the Participating Products, and a copy of their

ID or valid passport for receipt of the Prize.

12.4. The tillslip and copy of ID or valid passport must be emailed to

callcentre@tccfusion.co.za or faxed to 086 733 8659 as advised in the SMS, within 48 hours of receiving the SMS.

12.5. Once all the requested documents have been received, the Winner will be contacted

on their cell number and requested to verify their details and make arrangements for receiving the Prize.

13. Once the Winner’s details have been validated, payment of the Prize will be made within 7 days.

14. The Winner will receive the payment of the Prize by way of FNB eWallet. The Prize will be paid in 2 (two) eWallet payments of R2500 (two thousand five hundred Rand) over 2 (two) days. Payment of the Prize is subject to the terms and mechanisms of the FNB eWallet platform.

COMPETITION RULES

 

1.     This Competition (“Competition”) is organized by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited, and TCC Fusion (Proprietary) Limited and their designated Partners as stipulated below under clause 20 (collectively ‘’Promoters’’).

2.     The Competition is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 16 years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document, except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Persons”).

3.     By entering the Competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoters, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoters reasonably deem necessary

4.     The Competition commences on Tuesday 1st August 2017 and ends on Wednesday 31st December 2017 and/or while promotional stocks is available of the Coca-Cola 1.25l (available nationally) and Coca-Cola 1.5l bottle (available in the Western Cape).

5.     Participants are guaranteed a reward on entry, provided that their unique code inside the Coca-Cola 1.25l Glass Bottle (Nationally) and Coca Cola 1.5l returnable PET bottle (Western Cape) promotional green caps or closure is valid. Participants can enter up to 3 times per day during the promotion and all entries over and above 3 entries per day, would need to be re-entered the next day to redeem a prize to a maximum of 21 entries per week.

7.     To receive a guaranteed Reward, the consumer must purchase a 1.25litre Bottle or 1.5litre Returnable PET Coca-Cola product (including participating flavours), from any outlet stocking the promotional pack during the competition period. In order to participate, a participant will find the unique code under the Coca-Cola green promotional cap or closure and should then enter the competition in the following manner:

11.  Participants will receive the redemption code from Coca-Cola E-Rewards at the end of the consumer journey and cannot change their chosen reward or exchange this reward for cash – the rewards are selected randomly and rewarded by a pre-determined algorhythm – should you choose not to use your reward, you are able to gift it to a friend or family member to use within the required redemption period

12.  Entries which are submitted via an incorrect entry mechanism, contain errors or are from Disqualified Persons, as per rule 2) above, will be declared invalid

13.  The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash and the Promoters are not liable for any defect in the Prizes. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value. Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of these Competition rules, the Promoters’ decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into

14.  All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of gross negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters) and/or use of the Prizes.

15.  The Promoters may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoters to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prizes and it shall revert back to the Promoters.

16.  The Promoters may request the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting their Prizes and/or after having received their Prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoters’ marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition.

17.  Competition entries are  subject to the following conditions:

·      All entries from Disqualified Participants’ cell phone numbers will be rejected;

·      No computer based entries will be accepted; and

·      Any cell phone number that is suspected of unlawful activity, Promoter reserves the right to block the number out of the competition. To verify if your cellphone number has been blocked out of the competition consumer can call the Coca-Cola Consumer care lines for reasons and dates that the number was blocked

Terms and Conditions:

·         Free Airtime / Free Data/ Free SMS’s will be automatically loaded onto a Vodacom consumer mobile number

·         If the consumer is not on the Vodacom network, the consumer is to take down the details of the reward to then input using a Vodacom network mobile phone or the consumer can gift it to a family member or a friend who is on the Vodacom network

·         The validity dates of each reward is based on the reward and is mentioned during the reward delivery process

Once the possible winners are notified, they will have 24 (twenty-four) hours to respond to the winner notification. If any possible winner fails to respond within 24 (twenty-four) hours, the Promoter reserves the right to draw another winner.
  2. In order for a particular entry to be confirmed as valid, the Promoter will call the possible winners and conduct a Competition verification process.  The Participants, whose entries have been selected and have been confirmed as valid after the verification process, will be notified telephonically from the date that they have won and have been declared a winner.  The Promoter will advise the winners when they will receive their Prizes, which will be delivered to an agreed upon address.
  3. The Prize winners are obligated to behave responsibly and comply with the Competition rules and all reasonable requests of the Promoter and its agents.

35. The Prizes are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash.  The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value.

36.  Should any dispute arise in relation to the interpretation of the Competition rules, the Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

37. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, it’s advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, partners, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in this Competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoter and/or use of the prizes).

38. The Promoter may require the winners to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or appear on radio and television, when accepting their prizes or after having received their prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to decline to the publication of their images and to participate in the Promoter’s marketing material in so far as it relates to the Competition. The Promoter may use the uploaded images in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever.

39. By entering the Competition, the participants agree that The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliates (including the Promoter, subsidiaries, Bottlers, and joint ventures) may contact the participants via email and through social media platforms to deliver marketing communications regarding their products and promotional activities.  The Promoter may also use the personal data collected from the participants as described in the Privacy Policy accessible at www.coca-cola.co.za and that such use may include transfers to the Promoter’s affiliates and third party service providers in any country.

40. Winners of this Competition will be logged into a central database of social and digital prize winners which is administered by the Promoter. Winners of this Competition will be excluded from winning promoted Prizes offered by the Promoters, for a period of 6 (six) months after the draw date of this Competition. This applies to all social and digital Competitions carried out by the following brands – Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Glaceau Vitaminwater, Fuze Tea and Powerade.

41. The Promoter may require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these Rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should a winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such a winner will be deemed to have rejected the Prize and it shall revert to the Promoter.

Competition Terms & Conditions

1.     This Promotional Competition (“Competition”) is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited (“Promoter”).

2.     Entry to the  “The Power to Beat Your Best” Powerade Competition is open to South African citizens who are 18 years or older and are currently either legally visiting or living in South Africa. Entrants may be any person except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to The Coca-Cola Company, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Participants”).

3.     By entering the Competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules as interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right at any time without notice to amend, modify, or change these rules, and to postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any Prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.

4.     In addition, by entering all participants hereby opt in to receive competition communication and campaign content either via sms or email.

5.     The Competition commences on the 9th of March 2017 at 00h01 and ends on the 31st of August 2017 at 23h59, all days inclusive.

6.     Monthly prize winners must be 18 years or older (in each discipline category) and must be South African citizens in possession of a valid South African Identity Document or Birth Certificate who also reside in South Africa.

7.     The grand prize winner must be 18 years or older (in the running category) and must be South African citizens in possession of a valid South African Identity Document or Birth Certificate.

8.     Participants can register for either of the two discipline categories (running or road cycling/mountain biking) however they will only be eligible to win one monthly prize in total.

9.     Due to the cancellation of the Cape Town Cycle Tour and therefore the lack of opportunity for participants to submit a benchmark time, the cycling grand prize will no longer be awarded.

10.   A benchmark race time - Is the first official race time submitted to Powerade from either an ASA (Athletics South Africa) registered race / CSA (Cycling South Africa) registered race / Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverage’s activated races. Powerade will calculate the participant per kilometre speed based on these times.

11.   An improved race time -  Is any official race time submitted to Powerade from either an ASA (Athletics South Africa) registered race / CSA (Cycling South Africa) registered race / Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverage’s activated races where their per kilometre speed is faster than the time they submitted as their benchmark time or previous submission.

12.   Benchmark & Improved Time Submission – Participants register for the competition at either Cape Town Cycle Tour, Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon or various Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages activated races. Once registered participants will then receive an email from beatyourbest@coca-cola.com asking them to reply to the email with their race information so that their benchmark or improved time can be logged.

13.   Monthly Prizes

Entrants will be required to do the following to stand a chance to win monthly prizes:

      i.        Register at the Cape Town Cycle Tour, Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon or various Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages activated races during the competition period.

     ii.        To participate dial *120*32682# and follow the prompts. Cost of participation is 20c per 20 seconds. The USSD entry mechanic will be live until the end of May 2017 thereafter participants will have the option to enter via a manual entry form at selected races that Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages activates at.

    iii.        Participants will need to submit a benchmark race time to Powerade. This is only necessary if registration did not take place at the Powerade expo stand at the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. Due to the fact that the Cape Town Cycle Tour was cancelled all those who registered at the expo will still be required to log a benchmark race time as their times were not captured at the Cape Town Cycle Tour as planned.

      i.        Thereafter, participants will need to submit their improved race time to Powerade via email to beatyourbest@coca-cola.com

14.   All entrants who register to The Power to Beat Your Competition and submit a benchmark race time and an improved race time will be eligible to stand the chance to win a monthly prize. 1 (one) monthly prize per discipline will be randomly awarded per month starting in the month of May, i.e. 1 (one) for cycling & 1 (one) for running.

15.   Monthly prizes will be selected via a random draw which will take place during the 1st week of each month. The decision is final and binding and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the decision.     

16.   Registered participants will only be eligible to win 1 (one) monthly prize for the duration of the competition.

17.   In the running category, a monthly prize winner will still be eligible to stand the chance to win the grand prize.  

18.   Running Grand Prize

Entrants will be required to do the following to stand a chance to win the running grand prize:

     ii.        Register at the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and various Coca-Cola Penninsula Beverage’s activated races during the competition period.

    iii.        To participate dial *120*32682# and follow the prompts. Cost of participation is 20c per 20 seconds.The USSD entry mechanic will be live until the end of May 2018 thereafter participants will have the option to enter via a manual entry form at select races that Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages activates at.

19.   For a benchmark or improved race time to be classified as valid the below criteria need to be fulfilled:

      I.        Race times must be a result from a registered Athletics South Africa (ASA) / Cycling South Africa (CSA) or a race at which Coca-Colca Peninsula Beverages activate at which take place between the 9th of March and the 31st of August 2017.

     II.        In the case of road cycling, the race distance must be a minimum of 40 (forty) kilometres

    III.        In the case of mountain biking, the race distance must be a minimum of 30 (thirty) kilometers

    IV.        In the case of running, the race distance must be a minimum of 10 (ten) kilometres

20.   In the case of running, participants who continue to beat their best and submit more than 1 (one) valid improved race time will receive additional entries into the grand prize draw.

21.   All entrants who register and submit both their benchmark race time and a valid improved race time between the 9th of March 2017 and the 31st of August 2017 will be eligible to stand the chance of winning:

·  1 of 4 monthly prizes valued at up to R4500 each per discipline category (Running/Cycling)

·  1 of 1 grand prize in the running discipline category

Participants are only eligible to win a prize within the discipline category in which they have entered. An improved race time means an improvement on an entrant’s bench mark time.

22.   A grand prize will only be awarded in the running category. The winner will be selected via an audited random draw on the 4th of September 2017. The decision is final and binding and the Promoter will not enter into any correspondence regarding the decision.

23.   In the running category all entrants who register and submit both their benchmark race time and improved race time will be eligible to stand a chance to win the grand prize as well as a monthly prize.

24.   In the cycling category all entrants who register and submit both their benchmark race time and improved race time will be eligible to stand a chance to win the monthly prize between May – August 2017.

25.   The Coca-Cola Company South Africa nor it’s agent companies will not be held responsible for participants not receiveing competition communication if the information given by participant is either unreadable, incomplete or invalid. 

26.   All winners (monthly & grand prize winners) will be notified via a telephonic call, email & SMS. They will have 24 (twenty four) hours to respond to the winner notification via email. If any possible winner fails to respond within 24 (twenty four) hours, the Promoter reserves the right to contact another winner.

McDonalds/Coke Zero sampling drive 2017 Terms & Conditions

1. This sampling drive is organised by Coca-Cola Africa (Proprietary) Limited (the “Promoter”) and McDonalds restaurants (the “Partner”)

2. The promotional sampling is open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa over the age of 16 (sixteen) years in possession of a valid South African Identity Document except any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person directly or indirectly who controls or is controlled by the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoters or the Partners, their advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, suppliers and Bottlers of beverages identified by the trademarks owned by or licensed to the Promoter or the Partner, its affiliates and/or associated companies (“Disqualified Persons”).

3. By participating in the promotional sampling drive, all participants agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this promotion.

4. By participating in the sampling drive the participants allow the Promoter to post their image online if the Promoter chooses to do so.

5. The promotional sampling drive is limited to participating restaurants only where the promotion is advertised and commences on 17 March 2017 and ends on 18 March 2017.

6. The mechanic of the promotional sampling drive is simple:  a consumer may enter a McDonalds restaurant and ask for a free sample of Coke Zero.  This this will be served in a 125ml cup from a soda fountain.  The consumer does not need to purchase anything from the restaurant in order to qualify and will not be charged for the sample.

7. Samples are limited to ONE per customer per day.

8.
