WHO IS MASHAYABHUQE ?
Mashayabhuqe is one of the unique artists from South Africa of our time. He is celebrated for creating a new music genre: Digital Maskandi which is a mixture of separate cultures and ideologies crossing the internet’s digital time space. He makes a debut on Coke Studio Africa – 2017 in the Big Break segment and will be collaborating with Yemi Alade (Nigeria) and French rapper of Congolese origin – Youssoupha.
COMING TO THE LIMEIGHT
He came to the spotlight in 2010 following his invention of a whole new genre called Digital Maskandi. In 2013, Mashayabhuqe released The Black Excellence Show EP which received positive reviews. Two years later, together with Thandiswa Mazwai he released his smash hit “Izayoni” which was a tribute to Makhuzwayo. He has gone on to release “Shandarabaa Ekhelemendeh” with Okmalumkoolkat and a project specifically for his supporters titled “Amancamnce” making it the first South African *FP* freebies package. He is currently ruling the airwaves with his recent release “KwaDukuza”.

BEHIND THE MUSIC
Mashayabhuqe KaMamba was born as Nsikelelo Christian Ndlovu in KZN, Durban and grew up in the green valleys of Mandeni before moving to Eshowe/Nkandla. He attended a high school named Mnyakanya which is situated in kwaNxamalala. Mashayabhuqe later moved to Durban (Berea) to complete his higher education and pursue his dream of becoming a household name in the entertainment industry. He also pursued his higher education studies in BA Communication Science via (UNISA) in Johannesburg.

The French – Congolese rapper Youssoupha is undoubtedly one of Africa’s greatest exports.
