Joey B also known as Beezy is a Ghanaian hip-hop artiste known for his mellow vibe music and a unique sense of fashion to boot. Joey B has dominated the airwaves with hit songs including “Strawberry Ginger”, “Tonga” featuring award-winning Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, “U x Me”, “FOH” featuring Medikal and “Sunshine”.

It was the success of his hit single “Tonga” that propelled Joey B to the limelight soon after his career had taken off. His musical career can be dated back to 2012 when he was Skillions Records, where he recorded his first mixtape. This was followed by collaborations with other producers and artistes such as EL, Fuse ODG and Edem among others. Besides music, Joey B’s sense of fashion and appeal to the youth is something to note. In 2015, he was named the brand ambassador for Adidas due to his massive influence. He is also infamous for trendsetting skinny jeans and tattered clothing and cowboy hats – a style hard to imitate even though a few other rappers have tried to adopt it.

In 2014, Joey B won New Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his song “Tonga” which received massive airplay across Africa. He has performed at various events including Miss Malaika Ghana 2016 and at the celebrated  “Sarkology” launch of Sarkodie’s album. He has worked with various producers and record labels such as Hammer of The Last Two and Black Avenue Music and says he derives his influence from the likes of Kanye West and Kid Cudi.
