What will happen when Zimbabwean singer/songwriter brings her guitar and her afro-pop flavour to the mix and she’s paired with rapper Yanga to work on a track that embodies two very different styles of music? Meanwhile, 2015 Producer of the Year Tweezy joins forces with soulful singer Apple Gule and two members of Mapped Out Squad to work through the night to complete their song in record time. Taking it slow on the other side of the studio is two raw artists, both vocalists and guitarists, Sarah Jackson and É-Thán Young who are paired with producer 37mph. It doesn’t take long to write down lyrics and get into recording vocals, but Miss Kay starts feeling the pressure and a guitarist is called in to help. Can Danny K help Miss Kay get that special feeling in studio? Meanwhile, Gigi Lamayne and Vielswag group KLRD find common ground in creating an uplifting track to empower ‘kasi youth with producer Lunatik. Their verses are recorded at the last-minute and Gigi drops her lyrical talent and the number is polished off by KLRD. Will their song promote hope and pride to all who hear it?
